19 Vintage Patchwork Star Quilt Blocks + 5 Unfinished | 21” Large Scrap Quilt Stars | 1950s Newspaper Backing

Wonderful collection of vintage oversized patchwork star quilt blocks, found together as an unfinished quilt project.

This lot includes:

19 completed star blocks
5 partial/unfinished blocks
Approximately 21 inches tip-to-tip per completed star

The stars are wonderfully scrappy, pieced from a huge variety of fabrics including florals, ginghams, plaids, stripes, polka dots and novelty prints. No two are exactly alike.

Several pieces retain their original newspaper foundation backing, and one visible newspaper fragment appears to show an October date from the 1950s. Because the newspaper pieces are fragmented and reused, I cannot guarantee the exact date the blocks themselves were constructed.

These are unfinished vintage quilt pieces and have been stored for many years. Expect irregular edges, loose threads, wrinkles, variations in stitching, exposed foundation paper/newspaper and other age-related imperfections. They are being sold exactly as found and have not been washed or altered.
